How We’re Paid & How We Help

At Welcome Home Companion, we believe every transition deserves personal attention—not a one-size-fits-all approach. That’s why we’re not a franchise and never rely on impersonal national databases. We are locally owned, deeply connected, and committed to finding the right fit for each family.

We are paid by senior living communities, allowing us to offer free consulting and placement services for families. But we don’t just match and move on—we stay involved, offering flexible transition companion hours to ensure new residents settle in with confidence. Need more support beyond our free two-hour post-move service? Additional companion hours are available at $50/hour, whether initiated by families or provided as a community perk for new residents.

Beyond placement, we connect families with financial resources that often require advance planning, including:
✔ VA Benefits, Long-Term Care Insurance, Life Insurance Conversions & Bridge Loans
✔ Trusted Local Services—movers, real estate professionals, elder law attorneys, and more
✔ Custom Transition Strategies—because no two families’ needs are exactly the same.

We partner not just with families, but with communities—bridging relationships that lead to stronger, more stable transitions, better-informed residents, and deeper family trust.

Let's meet your new community staff and chat about who does what in your new home!

To families and staff alike, rest assured that Welcome Home Companion is a strategic partner, not a replacement for vital community relationships. Our companions actively enhance resident-staff bonds by helping new residents understand each staff member's role and how they are there to help. This crucial early guidance reduces anxiety, clarifies expectations, and fosters a confident readiness to engage with your team. By promoting this vital understanding and connection from day one, we help residents successfully integrate, freeing staff to focus on long-term care and relationship building, ensuring a harmonious and thriving community for everyone.

Let's meet your future friends,

I can help!

Beyond the practical aspects of settling in, we understand that finding your social footing is key to feeling at home. Sometimes meeting new people can be intimidating. That's why, after we've built a comfortable rapport, your Welcome Home Companion can actively help initiate conversations with other residents, skillfully finding familiar topics to build bridges for new friendships and engaging chats! We're here to help you connect and thrive socially in your new community.
